Allison Bean is State Champion Skimeister!

Allison Bean was awarded first place in the division 2 skimeister competition. This event combines the two alpine events of slalom and GS with the two XC events of classical and freestyle. The competition was tight with a girl from Kennett in close competition but Allie showed her true competitive spirit and came out on top. Sami Hotchkiss placed third for the girls while Robbie Hotchkiss placed third in the boys skimeister competition.

The Girls Alpine ski team placed eighth in division 2 at the state ski race today. The team scoring was led by Allison Bean who was the top place finisher in both events today. Great skiing ladies!

Boys D2 state race

The Boys D2 state race was today at Crotched Mt. The boys team finished 8th in slalom and 11th in GS. Jackson Walsh was the highest point scorer for the day.

"Senior Night" race Feb 8

The knights hosted the last race of the regular season on their home hill and honored their seniors. The girls team placed 2nd in GS and 3rd in SL skiing against some strong teams including Linwood, Sunapee, Gorham and Moultonboro. Perennial D4 state champs Linwood won all the events of the day. The boys team placed 3rd in SL and 4th in GS.

Alpine Girls win Lakes Region race, Boys team places second

Under superb racing conditions, the Kingswood Girls Alpine ski team came away with the overall win at the Lakes Region Championship race today. The girls scored a total of 761 points beating second place team Gilford who scored 750. Laconia was iin third with 691 points followed by Moultonboro, Newfound, Prospect Mt and Belmont. The boys team came in second with 750 points in a very close race where a very strong Belmont team scored 759. Behind the top two teams,  in third with 699 points was Newfound and Laconia scored 696 points. Other teams competing included Moultonboro, Gilford and Prospect Mt. Jillian Luby and Jackson Walsh were the top scorers for the knights with quite a few team members having top ten finishes. Congratulations Knights!

King Pine Jan 25 race

The Kingswood girls alpine ski team placed first of five teams competing at King Pine. Their combined score for GS and SL of 742 points just narrowly beat out the Oyster River team who scored 738 points. The boys team placed second, just 10 points behind Oyster River. Pembroke, Portsmouth and Kennett also competed, although Kennett was short handed in the GS due to exams and a delayed start.

The HS alpine ski teams competed in a 7 team race at Cranmore on Jan 18. In the GS event, both the boys and girls teams placed fourth. For the slalom event, the Knights battled some inconsistency with the boys team placing fifth and the girls team placing sixth. Full individual and team scores can be found at live-timing.com

The boys and girls alpine ski teams enjoyed great snow conditions in a 5 team race at Cranmore today. The girls team finished third while the boys team finished fifth in a very close race. Team scores in slalom only differed by one point! Josh Shapiro was the top scorer for the boys with Jackson Walsh close behind. Top scorers for the girls include Tayghen Gelinas, Sami Hotchkiss and Jillian Luby.

Jan 4 Alpine race at King Pine

The Knights enjoyed a beautiful day of racing at King Pine against Kennett, Plymouth, Newfound and White Mt. The boys finished third in both events. The girls only had 6 skiers due to illness and injury but placed third in SL and 4th in GS despite the low numbers. Top scorers for the day include Tayghen Gelinas and Jackson Walsh for GS and Sami Hotchkiss and Josh Shapiro in the slalom.

Alpine ski team collects food for the holiday

The alpine ski team captains are shown with some of the food that they collected as part of the food drive that is done at King Pine ski area each December. All the food collected goes to a local food pantry and stays in the community. Well done Knights!

First race of the season

Kingswood alpine skiers hosted Kennett at the first race of the season on Wed Dec 19 at King Pine. It was a spectacular day for racing with 3 races being held. Jillian Luby and Allison Bean were the leading scorers for the girls while Jackson Walsh and Nick Lamie led the way for the boys. Complete results can be found at live-timing.com
