Girls Varsity Tennis vs. St. Thomas Aquinas HS School

The Kingswood Girls Tennis Team beat St. Thomas in singles and then went on to win 2 of the 3 doubles. The final score was 7-2.

At #1 singles senior co-captain Jasper Shapiro won 8-5.

At #2 singles junior Kara Phu came back from a 2-6 deficit to take the set to an 8-8 tiebreaker but then lost the tiebreaker 3-7.

At #3 singles junior Marina Eneeva won 8-1 in the fastest set of the day.

At #4 senior co-capatain Brooke Seigars won 8-3

At #5 singles junior Rebecca Coache took the lead at the end of the set to win 8-6.

At #6 singles sophomore Danielle Schillereff won 8-2.

At #1 doubles Shapiro and Seigars lost 5-8 in a very long close set.

At #2 doubles Phu and Eneeva won 8-1.

At #3 doubles Coache and Schillereff won 8-3.

The team travels to Kennett on Thursday for a match that was moved to 3 p.m. so that Kennett can make up a match with Plymouth after the Kingswood match.

The team hosts Windham on Friday.

On Monday the team will host Plymouth at its senior match. Seniors will be honored in a rose ceremony. The team will first finish a match already started at Plymouth. Kingswood is leading that one 3-1. After a winner for that match is determined the team will then play the second match.
