The Kingswood Girls' Tennis Team shut out the Kennett Eagles 9 - 0. The Kennett Lady Eagles came to challenge the Kingswood Lady Knights in tennis but went home empty handed.
The wind and the chill factors made it seem more like an early March match than one in May.
At #1 senior co-captain Jasper Shapiro won 8-3
At #2 junior Kara Phu won 8-4.
At #3 singles junior Marina Eneeva won 8-2
At #4 singles senior co-captain Brooke Seigars won 8-0 in the shortest set of the day.
At #5 singles sophomore Danielle Schillereff won 8-2.
At #6 singles junior Rebecca Coache won 8-0.
At #1 doubles Shapiro and Seigars won 8-2
At #2 doubles Phu and Eneeva won 8-0
At #3 doubles Schillereff and Coache won 8-2.
The team is scheduled to host Portsmouth on Friday and travel to Trinity High School on Monday.
