Girls Varsity Tennis vs. Oyster River HS School

On Monday, April 17th, the Kingswood Girls Tennis Team traveled to Oyster River for their first away match of the season. The Knights were outclassed but not shut out. Marina Eneeva won her singles match 8-6 to deny Oyster River the shutout.

At #1 singles senior co-captain Jasper Shapiro was blanked by a very talented Oyster River freshman 0-8. At #2 junior Kara Phu also came up short 0-8. At #3 senior co-captain Brooke Seigars managed to win 2 games losing 2-8. The same was true for sophomore Danielle Schillereff at #4 losing 2-8. Junior Marina Eneeva had the sole Kingswood victory at #5 winning a close set 8-6. Junior Rebecca Coache lost her #6 singles 0-6.

Shapiro and Seigars lost their #1 doubles 0-8. Phu and Coache lost their #2 doubles 1-8. At #3 doubles Schillereff and Eneeva lost 2-8.

Bri Heald, Mickayla Grasse-Stockman, and Emma Hammond all saw action in exhibition matches.

The team travels to Plymouth on Wednesday, April 18th. The team hosts Pembroke in a rescheduled match Thursday, April 19th. The team finishes the week at Coe-Brown Academy on Friday, April 20th.
