The Kingswood Varsity Girls Soccer Team suffered a tough loss today, shut out 9 to 0.

For the most part, the Bears were quicker to the ball and won more of the 50 50 balls.  Their first goal was 5 minutes in off a rebound.  Two minutes later they scored again the same way.  Goal #3 was at the 16 minute mark off of a penalty kick.  At the 34 minute mark a shot from outside the 18 lofted in.  With just a couple minutes left in the half  Coe Brown scored one from a cross.  The first 12 minutes of the second half were scoreless.  They scored again at the 20 minute mark on a break away.  At 22 minutes they converted a rebound.  With just a few minutes left in the game, Coe-Brown scored goal 9.

The Knights did create some opportunities and made several shots on goal.  One shot from Mary Peternel from outside the 18 hit the crossbar and reflected partially into the goal.  The entire ball has to be in the goal so there was no score.  Hannah Demain also had break aways that did not produce goals.  Sarah Harrigan played the entire game in the goal.  She made numerous very good saves.

The Knights will host Kennett on Tuesday at 6 p.m. on the turf at Alumni Field.
