WOLFEBORO — In the final home match of the season, the Kingswood golf team used a total team effort to sweep a four-team event at Kingswood Golf Club on Sept. 19.

"It was a total team effort," said coach Jeremy Fuller of his team's 205, the best team score of the year. "We played well at home all year. In golf, home field (course) advantage is much larger than in most sports.

"It is important to take full advantage of that, which the team did this year, going undefeated," Fuller added.

On a perfect day for golf, with sunshine and a light wind, the Knights were led by Sam Barton and Chris Nelson. Barton played from the top spot in the lineup and Nelson played from the third spot in the lineup and both carded 40s to pace the field of Knights. Barton recovered nicely from a bogie on his first hole and Nelson finished with five pars in his effort.
