THE KNIGHTS PLAYED A GREAT GAME AT MERRIMACK VALLEY IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE DIVISION 2 TOURNAMENT AND CAME AWAY WITH A 55 - 43 WIN. THE 9TH SEEDED KNIGHTS WERE DOWN TO THE 8TH SEED PRIDE AFTER 8 MINUTES BUT OUTSCORED THE HOSTS 18 - 6 IN THE SECOND QUARTER TO LEAD 26 - 15 AT THE BREAK. MV MADE IT INTERESTING IN THE 3RD QUARTER OUTSCORING US 16 - 11, CUTTING THE KNIGHTS LEAD TO 37 - 31 HEADING INTO THE 4TH. AN 18 - 12 4TH QUARTER GAVE THE KNIGHTS THE VICTORY. DEFENSE WAS THE KEY AS EVERYONE CONTRIBUTED TO THE MOST AGGRESSIVE 32 MINUTES OF THE YEAR. OFFENSIVELY, 3 GIRLS WERE IN DOUBLE FIGURES WITH MICHELLE FRADY LEADING THE WAY SCORING 19, FOLLOWED BY MEGHAN LAPAR, 12 AND LIZ McLAUGHLIN, 11, AND ASHTYN CAMERON, 6. MEGHAN HAD A MONSTER NIGHT ON THE BOARDS AS SHE FOUGHT AND HUSTLED HER WAY TO 24 REBOUNDS! MICHELLE HAD 7 HUGE STEALS AND MV WAS BOUNCED FROM THE TOURNAMENT. THE KNIGHTS AVENGED A 56-40 LOSS TO MV IN THE FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON. ON TO LEBANON! FRIDAY AT 7:00.
