THE GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM BEAT KENNETT ON FRIDAY NIGHT (2/24), 52 - 29 TO FINISH THE REGULAR SEASON WITH A RECORD OF 12 - 6. CO-CAPTAIN MICHELLE FRADY LED THE WAY FOR THE KNIGHTS WITH 20 POINTS, FOLLOWED BY CO-CAPTAIN LIZ McLAUGHLIN WITH 9, AND HOPE ROITER AND AMANDA LAPAR WITH 7 EACH. ELIZA BRAULT HAD AN OUTSTANDING NIGHT AT BOTH ENDS OF THE FLOOR AS SHE BLEW BY THE KENNETT DEFENDERS IN THE FULL COURT AND DISTRIBUTED THE BALL TO HER TEAMMATES WHILE PLAYING TREMENDOUS DEFENSE AT THE OTHER END. IT WAS SENIOR NIGHT AND A GREAT CROWD PAID TRIBUTE TO OUR GIRLS PLAYING THEIR LAST GAME AT HOME. HONORED WERE: CO-CAPTAINS MICHELLE, LIZ, AND AISLINN NOBLE, HALEY STEVENS, ALEIGHA BRAULT, EMILY SKELLEY, AND HOPE ROITER. A FINE GROUP OF YOUNG LADIES, AND WE WISH THEM THE BEST. THE KNIGHTS WILL PLAY AT MERRIMACK VALLEY ON TUESDAY, 2/28, IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE DIVISION II TOURNAMENT. GAME TIME IS 7:00.
