ON WEDNESDAY, 1/25, OUR GIRLS LOST A TOUGH ONE TO PORTSMOUTH, 48 - 46. HEADING INTO THE 4TH QUARTER, THE KNIGHTS HAD A 6 POINT LEAD. CLIPPER FIRST TEAM ALL-STATE PLAYER LIBBY UNDERWOOD, WHO IS GOING ON TO PLAY AT DIVISION 1 PROVIDENCE COLLEGE NEXT YEAR, SCORED 14 OF HER GAME HIGH 29 POINTS TO GET THE TWO POINT WIN. OUR GIRLS FOUGHT FOR 32 MINUTES, PLAYED SMART, TOUGH BASKETBALL AT BOTH ENDS OF THE COURT SHOWING THAT WE CAN COMPETE WITH ANY TEAM IN DIVISION 2. CO-CAPTAINS LIZ McLAUGHLIN (3 3-POINTERS) AND MICHELLE FRADY LED THE SCORING WITH 21 AND 10 POINTS, RESPECTIVELY. ELIZA BRAULT ADDED 8 POINTS WITH 2 3'S. HOPE ROITER AND AMANDA LAPAR HAD 4 AND 3. AMANDA HAULED IN 11 REBOUNDS WHILE LIZ AND ELIZA HAD 10 EACH. MICHELLE HAD 5 STEALS AND LIZ, 3. NEXT GAME IS AT CON-VAL ON FRIDAY AT 6:00. THIS IS A VARSITY ONLY NIGHT. THE JV'S WILL PLAY AT COE-BROWN.
