CoEd Varsity XC Skiing vs. Multiple Opponents

The Kingswood Girls and Boys' Nordic Ski Teams both placed second in a three school nordic meet at the world famous Abenaki Ski Resort.
Here are the results for the  Kingswood High School Boys at the Abenaki Classical Sprints:
 
Jim Huckman kept Kennett from getting a perfect score by taking 4th place.
Axel Plache placed 6th
Adam Richardson placed 7th
David Sandoval placed 8th
 
(the race was a 3 round sprint.  One third of the first round qualified for the placement round.  One quarter of the second round also qualified for the placement round.  Only the top 50% of all the racers were able to get individual places and points for their team.)
 
Kennett had 393 to Kingswood's 379.  ConVal scored 0
 
The format was the same for the high school girls.
 
ConVal had the first place finisher but no other qualifiers.
Sarah Huckman took 4th place.
Sarah Bean placed 10th.
Sarah Bellefleur placed 11th
Rosemary Carpenter placed 13th.
 
Kennett took first place for the girls with 388
Kingswood was in second place with 376
ConVal scored 100 points.
 
The middle school races were a different format.
All of the middle school racers did a 3 lap race with no racers eliminated.
 
The Kingswood Middle School Boys took 1st place out of 4 schools.
Jackson Boudman placed 3rd.
Tim Huckman placed 6th
Aidan Thompson placed 7th
Robbie Hotchkiss placed 8th.
 
Kingswood scored 380; Bartlett scored 195, Farmington scored 100, and Kennett scored 97.
 
For the middle school girls, Kingswood took first and second place but did not have a full team of four to stay out of last place.
 
Ginger Plache won the race.  Marcella DeNitto was in second place.
Bartlett and Kennett tied with 378 points.  Kingswood scored 199.
 
A huge thank you to the dozens of volunteers who helped make this event happen.  A good time was had by all.
