The Lady Knights found their second match of season took them to Hanover to battle the Marauders. The first game saw the Knights out to a quick 5-0 lead and eventually when Junior Claire Richard stepped to the line to serve she ran off 7 straight service points to make it 17-4 then exhibiting great defense. The final score in game 1 was 25-7 Kingswood. The second game took on a very different behavior. The Lady Knights fell behind in the middle of the game 17-13 but when Sophmore Billie Joe Dumont stepped to the service line she ran off 10 service points then capped the victory with a stellar attack to seal the game victory for the Lady Knights 25-21. The 3rd game was all Kingswood in which Sophmore Schylar Mohan at one point ran off 8 service points and had 2 crucial attacks to win game 3 for the Lady Knights 15-4. Final count Kingswood 3 Hanover 0. Congrats to Richard, Dumont, Mohan and all the Lady Knights for a well fought battle and victory in Hanover. The JV Lady Knights overall record now moves to 2 Wins and 0 Losses on the season. Our next match sees them traveling to Gilford HS on Monday September 12, then home against Kennett on Wednesday September 14 and later in week home against St Thomas Acquinas September 16.
