OYSTER RIVER HIGH SCHOOL: 5
The Junior Varsity team hosted Oyster River this past Friday. The opposing team scored 3 goals in the first half of the game and two quick goals in the second half. While they ended up scoring five all together, Oyster River was held scoreless for the final 25 minutes of the game as our defense tightened up and began playing extremely well as a unit. The girls fought hard the entire game and showed some true grit as they played with great determination even though they weren't able to generate many scoring opportunities. I was very pleased with their effort. The Kingswood Knights host Portsmouth on Wednesday at 4:00.
